The post below is my rendition of Jeff Buckleys Hallelujah. I love the song to bits, and every time I hear it I always think the same thing. So I attempted to put it to paper, err or blog.

Let me know what you think- Good or bad, i love feedback.

From His Lips She Drew The Hallelujah

As the music played, he swayed and moved with love, to the rhythm of her song.

Her lyrics faded, her melody untuned.

Power and corruption no longer had its effect, she had already moved on.

No more pain. No more fear. No more.

Surrounded by the darkness, their only light, themselves; reflecting off one another like the moon does the sun.
Soon to be nothing but a black hole.

For him this was no longer about pride, she had taken that along with his heart.
His dignity was stripped, his ego diminished, he knew now that love had become a broken mirror, no longer reflecting the truth.

She had control, unforgivable, manipulative control.

His attempt to make her love him had failed.

Their past forgotten,
Their future erased.

Then, from his lips she drew the cold and broken Hallelujah.

"Maybe there's a God above
But all I've ever learned from love
Was how to shoot somebody who outdrew ya
And it's not a cry that you hear at night
It's not somebody who's seen the light
It's a cold and it's a broken Hallelujah"
