The day of heartbreak and reckoning was the day it all fell down,
The day the people went silent, the terror that followed no sound.
He looked, he searched, he wailed, but all he found were cries;
of the people who were trapped, hidden under the rubble of lies.
One by one they went; like the green leaves of fall,
His sweet senorita, buried underneath it all.
It was a day of heart break and reckoning.
The day he lost his all.
